It also outlines your choices around managing these cookies and similar technologies.

Managing your preferences

What types of technologies does Samwise AI use?
We may use any or all of the following technologies on our Services and in our emails:
- Cookies. A cookie is a very small text file that may be placed on your browser or in storage on your device. Session cookies disappear from your device when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay on your device after you close it. Both Samwise AI and third-party service providers may set cookies via our Services - "third-party cookies" are set by domains other than those we control and may recognise your device across different websites.
- Pixel tags. A pixel tag is a single-pixel, transparent image with a unique identifier that can recognise certain data on your device, similar to a cookie. We may use pixel tags to operate and improve the Services and our email practices, including to help deliver cookies, count visits, and understand usage and email campaign effectiveness - for example, whether you opened or forwarded an email, or clicked a link in it that led to our Site.
- Other similar technologies, such as mobile advertising identifiers and tags, and HTML5 local storage / local storage objects, which store relevant data locally on your device, for similar purposes to those described in this Cookie Policy.
So, when we refer to "cookies" or "similar technologies" in this Cookie Policy, that includes the pixel tags, local storage, and other equivalent tracking technologies described above.
Why do we use cookies and similar technologies?
The purposes for which we use these technologies fall into the following categories. We only use the categories below that actually apply to our Services today - we'll update this policy if that changes.
- Strictly necessary. Essential to let our Services provide the function you've requested, such as keeping you signed in, remembering your cookie choice, and ensuring the content of a page loads quickly and effectively. These do not require consent.
- Analytics. Collect information on how visitors interact with our Site so we can understand and improve it. We use PostHog for this, hosted on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). We do not use PostHog's session-recording or autocapture features.
- Advertising. Collect information about your browsing so that, if you sign up after clicking an advert, we can attribute that sign-up to the campaign that brought you here. We use advertising pixels, tags, and customer-match features as described in "Details of cookies and similar technologies" below.

How can you manage your consent?
You can control or limit how cookies and similar technologies are used by:
- managing your preferences at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the Site footer, which reopens the consent banner so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies;
- relying on a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser or a browser extension, which we treat as a decline for analytics and as an opt-out of the advertising measurement described above, if you haven't already made an explicit choice;
- configuring your email client to block external images or show "plain text only" emails, which typically blocks pixel tags in emails by default; and
- using your browser's own settings to block or delete cookies and site data - clearing this Site's data removes your stored choice and the banner will appear again.

Today, our non-essential cookies (Analytics and Advertising) are governed by a single accept/decline choice, since both categories are small and closely related in what they do. If that changes materially - for example, once we add more distinct categories of tracking - we'll extend this to category-by-category controls.

If you arrive from an advert and consent on the banner, and then submit the signup form, we send a server-side conversion event to the platform that served the advert (Google, Meta, or X) so the campaign can be credited. Depending on the platform, this can include the click identifier and a hashed version of the email address or phone number you submitted. This may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state privacy laws - see "Information for individuals in the United States" in our Privacy Policy for your rights and how to exercise them.
